Janhvi Kapoor gets trolled for saying “maths makes you retarded” – Bollywood News

A big downside of being a Bollywood stars is that whenever you make a mistake, you are observed by thousands of people who end up trolling and insulting you. Latest example of this is actress Janhvi Kapoor, who presented a personal opinion as a generalised fact and ended up recieving severe backlash from netizens.

During a recent promotional interview for her film ‘Good Luck Jerry’, the actress told Curly Tales that studying maths is useless and makes you retarded. Apparently Janhvi was asked about her favourite and least favourite subjects in school and she replied, “I only cared about history and literature, which I did really well in.”

Citing mathematics as her least favourite subject, Janhvi said, “I don’t understand the point. Aaj tak maine Algebra ka istemaal kiya hi nahi hai toh itna kyu maine sar toda? Like… what was the point? History and literature, on the other hand… it makes you a cultured human. Maths just makes you like retarded.”

Needless to say, netizens were baffled by such irrational and ignorant remarks and went on to troll the actress. One of them wrote, “This is outrageous.” Another said, “Really these people are so dumb… Hate to see there are interviews with them”. One user even pointed out the flaw in logic saying, “Algebra is class 9 maths. Her history is also weak.” Another said, “Yeh kya bol rahi hai ???? dimaag aur muh ka connection cut ho gayaa hai lagta hai.”
