With the exception of Monday night’s LSU-Florida State game, the SEC had an impressive opening weekend of college football. The conference went 13-0 prior to LSU’s one-point loss.

Both future coaches, who are more than a little banged up, have a lot to say about the blind optimism shown before the game. That includes Oregon thinking Georgia lost way too much talent to the NFL and Utah expecting subpar quarterback play from a passer that had spent the past two years on the bench.
