Meghan Looks To The Future With Summit Outfit From Activist Fashion Brand

Meghan Markle was looking to the future Monday, wearing an all-red ensemble by activist fashion label Another Tomorrow to deliver a keynote address at the One Young World Summit 2022.
Meghan attended the ceremony in Manchester, England, alongside her husband, Prince Harry, to start the couple’s four-day European visit.
It marks their first joint working return to Britain since stepping down from undertaking official duties on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II and moving to the U.S. in 2020.
One Young World is an organization with which Meghan holds a long association, pre-dating her relationship with Harry. It helps develop and empower young leaders to build a fair and sustainable future.
The American fashion label Another Tomorrow was founded in 2018 by former financier Vanessa Barboni Hallik.
On the brand’s website, Barboni Hallik says her mission with Another Tomorrow is to “create a truly sustainable and compassionate company with a three-pronged approach of providing a foundational wardrobe of ethically and responsibly made clothing, education, and a platform for activism to amplify our collective voices.”
Activism lies at the heart of Another Tomorrow’s ethos, with every business decision made “guided by a value system based on three pillars—human, animal, and environmental welfare.”
This last concern especially appeals to Meghan and Harry, who have often spoken about the importance of protecting the planet.
On July 18, the prince dedicated a large part of his U.N. keynote speech commemorating Nelson Mandela International Day to the subject.
The blouse Meghan opted to wear for her keynote address was the brand’s fire-red collarless bow blouse in sustainable viscose with classic cuffs and a minimal shirt-tail hem.
A key feature of the blouse is a long draped scarf element, which creates an added sense of drama and pulls in the matching wool flat-front, straight-leg suit pants.
Meghan accessorized by wearing a pair of Panthere 105 cutout suede pumps from her favorite shoe designer Aquazzura, as well as simple gold earrings and rings.
This was not the only ensemble of the day worn by Meghan. She was photographed traveling from her Frogmore Cottage home on Queen Elizabeth II’s Windsor Castle estate in Berkshire, England, in a tan outfit of collared blouse and wide-legged pants.
Meghan wore this ensemble for the two-hour train journey from London to Manchester, where the One Young World event took place.
Before the opening ceremony, Meghan and Harry met with a number of the delegate members of the organization, young people whom Meghan called “inspiring” during her opening address.
She praised the “resounding themes that came up about representation, about inclusion, about access and about trying to shift the global perspective for all of us as a global community to one of curiosity over criticism.”
As well as attending the summit’s opening ceremony, Meghan and Harry have included a visit to Germany in their European visit, with a celebration being held in Dusseldorf to mark the one-year way-point to the 2023 Invictus Games.
Harry founded the games in 2014 to provide a platform for wounded, sick or injured servicemen and women to display their mental and physical strength. He and Meghan have continued their association with Invictus since working independently from the British royal family.
The European visit is scheduled to end back in Britain with the couple attending the WellChild awards, a charity of which Harry has been patron since 2007.
Newsweek approached representatives for Barboni Hallik and Another Tomorrow for comment.
