PM Modi’s Unwavering Commitment to Agricultural Prosperity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the welfare of farmers during his address at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation in Ahmedabad. Against the backdrop of the recent ‘Delhi Chalo’ march in the national capital, PM Modi emphasized that the central government is leaving ‘no stone unturned’ in its efforts.

“We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure farmer welfare. The government has built 60,000 Amrit Sarovars across the country. This initiative will not only benefit farmers but will also strengthen the rural economy. Our goal is to provide modern technology and its know-how even to the small farmers of the country,” PM Modi affirmed.

He outlined the government’s focus on enhancing the livelihoods of small farmers, expanding the scope of animal husbandry, and promoting activities like pisciculture and beekeeping in villages. Moreover, PM Modi highlighted the distribution of modern seeds to farmers to tackle the challenges posed by climate change.

“For the first time, we have also provided Kisan Credit Card facility to cattle farmers and fish farmers. We have given farmers such modern seeds which can combat climate change,” the Prime Minister emphasized during his address at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In acknowledging the pivotal role of ‘Nari Shakti’ (women empowerment), PM Modi celebrated the flourishing dairy sector, attributing its success to the dedication and hard work of women across the nation. He reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing the economic power of women, noting that about 70% of the beneficiaries of the government’s Mudra Yojana are women.

“The success of India’s dairy sector is a great inspiration for women-led development in India,” PM Modi remarked, underscoring the significant contributions of women to the sector’s growth.

Extending his wishes to the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation on its golden jubilee, PM Modi commended the organization’s evolution from a small initiative to a formidable force in the dairy industry. He emphasized the synergy between the government and cooperative efforts, highlighting how this collaboration has propelled India to become the world’s largest milk producer.

“The large scale on which this organization of small animal farmers is working today is the power of organization, the power of cooperation,” PM Modi emphasized.

Furthermore, PM Modi praised the growth of Amul, hailing it as a symbol of the strength and resilience of India’s cattle rearers. He noted that Amul represents faith, development, public participation, and empowerment of farmers, symbolizing the aspirations of a self-reliant India.
