Bring it on home: Greece | Travel

[ad_1]

Who and where • College roommates Maureen Rauscher (left) of St. Louis County and Carol Bohl (center) of Urbandale, Iowa, with friends (left to right) Sue Pridemore of Iowa, Nancy Haldeman of Oregon and Suzanne McNeill of Texas at one of the many cliff-top monasteries in Meteora in northern Greece.

The trip • They took a 30-day trip to the island of Crete, northern Greece, Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia. People came and went on the trip, so the group size ranged from four to 12.

Travel tip • Women are required to wear skirts in the monasteries. This involved some creativity of wrapped scarves to create the illusion of skirts for admittance for some. COVID cards and masks were also required for admittance in many locations.

Contribute • Email your photo to stlpost@gmail.com. Include the full names of everyone in the photo, including where they are from and where you are standing in the photo. Also include your address and phone number. Please also tell us a little about the trip and a travel tip. We’re looking for interesting, well-composed, well-lighted photos.
