In a recent TikTok video, stylist Katrina Bowman outlined eight staples that will help you build a great summer wardrobe as the warm weather months drag on.
Bowman appears in the video wearing a black t-shirt and jeans before running through a half dozen or so outfit changes.
According to the caption, the capsule wardrobe is great for women in their thirties.
First up on her summer wardrobe essentials is denim shorts.
She shows off a pair of light denim shorts that are cuffed at the hem.
Bowman, who posts on TikTok under the handle @trendingwithtrina, then shows off an outfit involving the same denim shorts along with a white t-shirt.
The fashion pro says a white t-shirt is another key item to have in your closet for a summer capsule wardrobe.
Next, she suggests a button down top that can easily be paired with the denim shorts and other pants.
Bowman opts for a light olive green button down shirt with short sleeves that ties at the waste.
Then with the snap of her fingers, she mixes up the outfit by throwing on a pair of white jeans that pair with the green button down.
The perfect summer wardrobe is not complete with shorts and jeans, according to the stylist’s suggestions.
Two other essential pieces of clothing she recommends are a maxi skirt and a colorful top.
In her video, Bowman opts for a fitted bright coral top with short sleeves. She pairs the bright shirt with a floral maxi skirt that incorporates pink and coral colors that compliment the top.
Finally, she recommends a white dress that can be paired with a denim jacket.
