LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men’s golf program has announced its 2022-23 schedule which features four fall tournaments and six in the spring before the postseason. The Red Raiders will open the season at the Frederica Cup on September 7-8 in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Tech, which was at No. 8 in the national rankings after last season, return a strong core of players and have also added four newcomers. The program has advanced to two straight NCAA Championships and will look for a program-best third in a row this season with the tournament being hosted at Grayhawk in Scottsdale, Arizona once again.

The Red Raiders will head to the Frederica Golf Club for the first tournament of the season before returning to the Inverness Golf Club later in the month for the second event on the schedule. Tech won the 2019 Inverness Intercollegiate and will compete in the event again from Sept. 26-27 in Toledo, Ohio. The lone tournament within the state of Texas comes with a trip to Fort Worth with the Red Raiders playing in the Colonial Collegiate from October 3-4 at the Colonial Country Club. The final event of the fall has the Red Raiders back in the Houston area playing against conference opponents at the 2022 Big 12 Match Play Tournament. The annual event returns to the Club at Houston Oaks on Oct. 17-19 in Hockley. Tech finished second at the event last season after winning it in 2019 for the first time.

Tech has six spring tournaments scheduled beginning with a return trip to Hawaii for the Amer Ari Invitational from Feb. 8-10 at the Hapuna Course Waikoloa.
