Letter to the editor: Westbrook roadwork snarls travel from Portland to Gorham

[ad_1]

Gee, imagine being able to go from Portland through Westbrook to Gorham in less than two hours. Well, you could if you were walking. Only the city of Westbrook would allow the closing of Main Street and a partial closing of William Clark Drive in simultaneous construction projects. Oh, let’s not forget the Cumberland Mills job.

Perhaps the word “coordination” needs to be learned. Granted, the William Clark and Main Street intersection is a state project. But whoever authorized this poorly timed concerted effort needs to find other municipalities to go and haunt.
