Sutton Stracke’s Version of “Subtle” Fashion Is So Delightfully Sutton

In May, Sutton Stracke told Page Six“I don’t like people telling me what to wear,” but on the August 17 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsKyle Richards couldn’t help but offer a fashion suggestion as Sutton prepared for a date.

“Do you think it’s good to show up with, like, expensive jewelry on these dates?” Kyle asked, looking at Sutton’s watch, rings, and necklace. As they continued talking, Sutton countered, “I think this is subtle. This is subtle.” Looking at Sutton’s $7,500 bag, Kyle quipped, “That’s really subtle.” However, referencing the $16,000 Birkin that Kyle brought to their meal, Sutton reasoned, “It’s not an Hermès bag.”

In summary, Sutton declared, “I think I’m cute.”

In her interview with Page SixSutton opened up about viewers’ criticism of her style. “At first, it was hurtful when people didn’t seem to understand my fashion choices,” she said at the time. “But now, I don’t pay any mind to comments and whatnot… I love couture — and couture is all about slow fashion and meticulous detail… It doesn’t translate to a lot of people. People don’t understand it all the time because it’s a little bit different, but I’m a little bit different.”
