Travel North Tahoe Nevada appoints Long as COO

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Travel North Tahoe Nevadaformerly Incline Village Crystal Bay Visitors Bureau, announced on Wednesday that Greg Long is the new chief operating officer. Long has served as the operations and finance director for the organization for the last five years.
“Greg Long has been an integral team member within Travel North Tahoe Nevada for the last several years, guiding our tourism bureau through the pandemic and more recently, working to bring the rebrand to fruition,” said Andy Chapman, President and CEO of Travel North Tahoe Nevada. “With this new leadership role, Greg will continue to bring innovation to the brand and direct TNTNV into the future.”
In the COO role, Long is responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations of the organization and associated personnel, as well as assisting the CEO, Andy Chapman, to attain goals and objectives of the organization. Long, a multi-decade resident of North Lake Tahoe, has more than 25 years of Lake Tahoe tourism experience.
This month, the agency rebranded to reflect an enhanced commitment to responsible travel and sustainable tourism initiatives. As the public organization responsible for visitor services and destination marketing and management for the North Shore, Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, the staff and board of directors began focusing on foundational changes last fall. At the forefront is a promise to the local community to encourage destination experiences that support a thriving economy and to foster a continued legacy of sustainability and stewardship and to encourage exceptional destination experiences in North Lake Tahoe, along with a commitment of funds – 10% from their annual budget – devoted solely to sustainability programs.
As destination experts, the agency will continue to promote the limitless recreation opportunities of North Lake Tahoe and drive responsible tourism.
