After a two-year hiatus, the Ephraim Moravian Cemetery’s Dearly Departed Cemetery Walk will return Sept. 12 for tours at 1 pm and 2 pm.

The tours will feature three people who were important parts of Ephraim’s history talking about their lives in the community, and appropriately costumed local citizens will portray them: Linda Carey will portray Adeline Seiler Crum; Angela Sherman will be Bernice Koehler; and B.D. Thorp will portray his ancestor Ivan Lloyd Thorp.

Photos, artifacts and refreshments will be available at the church, 9970 Moravia St., before and after the tours, sponsored by the Ephraim Moravian Church and the Ephraim Historical Foundation. Colin Welford will play hymns – and Karen Ekberg will discuss their origins – at 2 pm and 3 pm in the church, where masks are required.

The program is free, but donations are appreciated. Tickets – limited to the first 70 people for the 1 pm tour – are required and will be handed out immediately before the tours. The rain date is Sept. 13.
