As per the industry experts in the movie business, the much-anticipated film Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, might end the current domestic box office slump. The movie, which is directed by Ayan Mukerji, will be released on September 9 and early ticket sales are quite promising.
Film analyst, Taran Adarsh, took to Twitter and revealed that the movie has sold over 11,000 tickets already, which is good news considering the recent issues in Bollywood.
Taran wrote, “‘BRAHMĀSTRA’: ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS… Finally, some relief for the industry… Received #Brahmāstra *day-wise data* [advance booking] of *a leading multiplex chain*… Observations…Tickets sold: 11,558 [veryyy positive start since advance opened at select locations only]”

He further added, “Fri contribution is 63% of the total ticket sales, followed by Sat [25%] and Sun [12%]. Needs to maintain the pace till Thu night for a strong advance status. Mass circuits and spot bookings [when film releases] will play an extremely vital role in *Day 1* [Fri] numbers.”

This is the first time the off-screen couple, Ranbir and Alia, will be sharing screen. The movie will be released in five languages. SS Rajamouli presented the movie in four South Indian languages. The director of superhit South Indian films such as Bahubaali, and RRRdeclared long back that he would be presenting Brahmastra in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The movie has a stellar star cast. Other than Ranbir and Alia, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna have significant roles in the movie. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will be seen in cameo roles. Before the film’s release, the producers unveiled a new teaser in which Amitabh as Guruji warned Ranbir as Shiva that if the Brahmastra’s three components ever came together, humanity would perish. The antagonist, Mouni, is seen searching thoroughly for the lost parts.
