CWT Joins Global Sustainable Tourism Council

CWT has joined the membership roster of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, a nonprofit organization that is a joint effort of the United Nations and conservation organizations to develop and manage sustainability standards for the travel industry. As a member, CWT will work with the GSTC to drive widespread adoption of its standards, which are centered on effective sustainability planning, maximizing local community benefits, enhancing cultural heritage and minimizing negative environmental impacts, according to the GSTC. CWT joins American Express Global Business Travel, which joined the organization last year; BCD Travel, which the organization lists as a member as of 2022; and ATG Travel Worldwide as corporate travel management company members of GSTC.
