Labor Day weekend is fast approaching, the last hurrah of summer and often a last chance to squeeze in a trip before school, work and other responsibilities kick in.

According to the homestay and vacation rental company, hosts that weekend made more than $300 million combined, with the median host payout of nearly $750.

As we head into Labor Day, Airbnb compiled a list of the top trending cities for travelers, based on the most nights booked for a long weekend. Perhaps surprisingly, Columbus topped that list, along with Raleigh, North Carolina; Tampa, Florida; and North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

Here’s the full list:

  • North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
  • Jacksonville, Florida.

A recent search of Airbnb listings in Columbus over Labor Day weekend shows a number of properties still available to rent at various price points, from a private room for $37 a night to an entire three-bedroom “smart house” for $1,128 a night.
