ESS Tech Names Vince Canino Operating Chief; Jeff Bodner Steps Down As Accounting Chief

ESS Tech Inc. appointed Vince Canino to become its chief operating officer.
The manufacturer of long-duration iron flow batteries said Friday that the appointment is an expansion of its leadership team.
Mr. Canino recently served as CEO of the oil-free chiller company Smardt Chiller Group. Prior to that, Mr. Canino held senior leadership positions at Trane Commercial Systems, a division of Ingersoll Rand Inc., and at DG Energy Solutions and General Electric Co.
ESS also said chief accounting officer Jeff Bodner has resigned to pursue another opportunity. Mr. Bodner will remain with ESS until mid-September.
Shares rise 3.6% to $4.25 in after-hours trading.
