Bella Hadid proves she’s the queen of Y2K fashion with exposed thong holiday look

Bella Hadid gave off serious Y2K energy during her latest social media image, and she looked incredible while doing so.

I mean, let’s face it, the 25-year-old supermodel can pretty much rock anything. Whether it be a blunt buzz cut, TikTok’s “dark academia” trend or avant-garde runway looks, she is the undisputed style chameleon. Yes, sure, as one of the most recognisable women in the world, she has the best access to little-known brands and high-end designer ensembles, but she very rarely places a fashion foot wrong.

So you imagine how in awe we were once again when she shared an Instagram snap of herself rocking an incredible Y2K holiday outfit.

Bella’s ensemble consisted of her in a silky bra top with a fluttering collar, which she teamed with a matching lace-trimmed petticoat skirt. While the look in itself was extraordinary and wanted us to escape to the same dreamy sea-front oasis as Bella took the snap from, it was actually her black string thong bikini and her matching black bra that peeked out from underneath her ensemble that resonated with the current lusted after fashion wave on social media, TikTok.

And Bella’s look wasn’t complete there, as she added a red silk scarf atop her brunette tresses and shielded herself from the sunshine with a pair of dark shades while accessorising with gold bangles and statement gold earrings. Beautiful!

Bella Hadid is undoubtedly social media’s “IT” girl, and as well as her professional endeavours, she’s also smitten with her boyfriend Marc Kalman. She revealed her relationship with him on July 2, 2021.

Prior to Kalman, Hadid famously dated Abel Tesfaye (a.k.a. The Weeknd) on and off between 2015 and 2019.

At the time, E! reported that Hadid and Kalman had been dating since the spring of 2020, and a source described the model as “completely smitten.” Though the source said the couple “have been trying to keep it super low-key and private,” they added, “Now that they have become more serious, she has been excited to be seen with him. She is truly so happy right now.”

In March, Hadid told Vogue that keeping their relationship private has allowed their romance to thrive. “I think that’s why things have been able to last,” she said. “When you give other people room to have opinions on things that are so personal to you, it poisons it.”
