STUDIO ACT PRODUCTION – trying to fill the void of genuine production houses.
STUDIO ACT PRODUCTION – Studio Act Production, a production house based in Delhi-Mumbai, was founded by Anshul Bindal who has been working in the Industry for years now and is associated with several projects across India. The production house has always been inclined towards producing the best work for the viewers. Founder stated “There is still a big need of a lot more genuine production houses in the Industry.”. In a chat with Anshul Bindal, he recounted the early starting days of his career and listed some of the struggles he had to face along with his future plans.
- What inspired you to take this journey?
My main inspiration behind this journey or like this production house has been this film industry only. My love and craving for quality films. The audience is so invested in a movie like we all are audience during one or the other part of the day and they must get the output they deserve. New artists deserve genuine teams to start off their journey. So basically all this led to Studio Act Production.
- Over the years, have you ever faced any setbacks and what have you done to overcome them?
Who in this world don’t face setbacks. It’s just they shouldn’t set you back. Starting my own production house was a very big step for me. There were numerous problems ahead, financial arrangements had to be done, a good genuice team had to be made, and the thing with this industry is, the more you try to grow, the more people try to pull you back. That is the time when your contacts and relations with people come in rescue. The reason you always need to be down to earth here. There will always be a time when you will need the support of people and vice versa. Everything was going in place and then suddenly covid came in picture. So in 2019, due to some other personal issues along with covid, we had to shut the production house for the time being. But now, after a long pause of around 4 years, we are back, definitely better.
- How did the thought occur to you or what is the story behind the inception?
The story behind the inception or how I got the idea isn’t one of those long life story people usually have. It was during the year 2014 when I was just working in the industry and was establishing connections with some big names like Kailash Kher, Salman Khan, John Abraham and many others. But meanwhile when I was working and was getting to see the industry closely from inside, I felt a big lack of genuine production houses. There is still a big need of a lot more genuine production houses in the Industry. So that’s when the thought came and I decided to have my own production house with the kind of team I want.
- What would you define about success in your life?
For me, success has always meant satisfaction. I never go against my intuitions. Film industry has always been of my interest. I can never imagine myself working anywhere but this industry. So if I’m happy, for me I’m successful. Giving my best, not having regrets, fulfilling the people’s expectations to its best with this company, making people go ahead to at least one step on their dream path, everything will lead to my success.
- As a person with no background in the industry, how would you describe this industry for a fresher and what are your advices?
It’s hard. No doubt, there’s a lot of struggle. You feel like an outsider everyday. Sometimes you just feel like giving up. That’s when you need to get up again. My advice to the new comers will be to make as many contacts as you can in this industry. You’ll need them at times you can’t thing right now. Try to find genuine platforms, and just don’t give up. The struggle is way harder that you thought but so will be the outcome if you have that talent in you.
- What are your future plans and how are you prepared for it?
Right now, my future plans are to solely give my best to this production house. I want the people who have talent, who deserve to be here in the industry, to get the best possible opportunities. I know their struggle, I’ve faced it. For this, we’ve collected one of the best dedicated team with a nice setup. We’re currently just focused on Studio Act Production’s growth in the near future and we’ll follow with other things as the time will require.
