Mom Of Three Created This Travel Childcare Company To Make Family Trips Less Stressful

Getting to travel as a family can be wonderful. You get to make memories and get out of the daily rut. But, it can also be stressful and exhausting for parents when they don’t get a break. So, after one too many unrelaxing trips, a mom decided to do something about it.
Ayana Rodriguez founded The itavi Method, a childcare program that can be booked while on vacation. It is currently at Acqualina, 1 Hotel South Beach, The Biltmore, The Boca Raton, The Boulan, The Clinton, Eden Roc, Fontainebleau, The Plymouth, The South Beach, The St. Regis Bal Harbour, and W South Beach Miami. But, they also have one-on-one professionals who can come to any hotel or home.
“There has been an uptick in families traveling since 2020,” Rodriguez told me. “Our luxury hotel partners that previously were not considered ‘family hotels’ have seen higher occupancy of child guests. This increase has allowed itavi to be an all-encompassing partner in curating experiences for child guests. Here, we manage and curate kids’ clubs and guide our luxury hotel partners and condominiums in creating dynamic and memorable activations and programming that children love and want more of.”
And this is not your average babysitter; all staff is extensively vetted and trained to offer an enriching experience. It consists of play, exercise, learning, reading, and arts and crafts for all ages while highlighting your destination’s local and unique culture, no matter the city you are staying in. So, parents can rest assured that their kids are just playing video games all day at the onsite kids club.
Plus, they will facilitate video conferencing and check-ins anytime for absolute peace of mind.
“The idea of itavi was developed out of identifying a need,” Rodriguez told me. “As a mother of three, navigating child care is a constant challenge. Navigating while traveling is impossible. It’s a challenge for hotels, parents, and children. Hotels don’t want to hold the liability, parents don’t know who to trust, and children want to have fun.”
She added, “We plan to expand our footprint nationally and internationally. We resolve for child care in many different arenas, including luxury hotels and condominiums, in addition to professional sports teams.”
They are launching Hawaii in November and just launched with the Miami Dolphins as their official childcare for the players during games and practices.
To book, you can reserve child care services by completing an intake form via itavikids.com, and parents receive a call to verify details. You can choose from one to three kids for four hours for $260.00 (with additional time paid in advance for $34.00 per half hour). Or, pay $500 for four to six kids for four hours (again, extra time spent in advance for $62.00 per half hour).
Ultimately, the goal is to solve the common problem of finding trusted and reliable child care while on holiday. Then, once at the hotel, everything falls into place, and parents can spend more time relaxing on the beach while their children are engaged in a dynamic educational program that they’re proven to love and learn from.
