NORTH CASTLE, NY — Commuters in Westchester County are going to want to allow some extra travel time coming and going over the next two weeks.
The New York State Department of Transportation says that State Route 128 is scheduled to close, between Sands Mill Road and Wampus Lake Drive in North Castle, for two weeks.
The lanes will be closed from Monday, September 19, at 9 a.m. through Monday, October 3, for a culvert replacement.
Drivers are being told to follow the posted detour signs using State Route 117, State Route 120 and State Route 22 as alternates.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change, the Department of Transportation said.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver’s license.
