New Shots of “Hogwarts Legacy” Shown at Tech Event

Software company Autodesk has released new footage of the long-awaited Hogwarts Legacyshowing a new cutscene during an Autodesk Vision Series where game developers present how the software is used during development.

Demonstrating how Autodesk’s software is used to bring the cinematics of Hogwarts Legacy to life, the cutscene involves two students watching dark wizards trying to restrain a Hippogriff. As the Hippogriff bursts out of doors, one of the dark wizards can be heard shouting “restrain the beast!” as spells are shot at it, while the two onlooking Hogwarts students make a plan to help free the creature.

The presentation also showed a character editor screen, displaying the tools the developers use to create the game’s characters, with a Professor Abraham Ronan being named on the Tweet.

Also shown was a shot of the in-game character creation screen, displaying different outfits for the character.

Other screenshots from the presentation show people being filmed from different angles, capturing character movement within the game, with one image showing a person walking up to a large circular object that could perhaps be the door to the Chamber of Secrets.

Last month, there were rumors that wand customization may be available as well as the option to choose a character’s romance options including LGBTQIA+ options.

We are still waiting on an official release date for the game, which has been delayed from the initial 2021 date. Hopefully, there isn’t too much longer to wait because Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment stated it will be released at the end of 2022 and the description on the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter page reads “Holiday 2022.” On top of this, the game’s official artbook will be released on December 6, perhaps hinting that the game will also be released then too.

Hogwarts Legacy will be available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Will you be playing when it is finally released?
