Cleveland schools treat students, families with “Tech Fest” and back-to-school bash ahead of the new school year

CLEVELAND, Ohio– With the academic school year right around the corner, the Cleveland Metropolitan School District is doing all it can to help its students and their families play and learn with several events, including the 2022 Tech Fest and back-to-school bash.

The free event will help students and their parents get hands-on experience with software tools for creating videos, music, websites and graphics. Food and refreshments will be provided along with games, a DJ, giveaways and more.

Students will also be able to receive help with connecting their digital devices to all the CMSD online student and family resources. Parents will also receive the opportunity to learn how to connect and care for their student’s devices, along with receiving tips on ways for the entire family to be safe and secure online.

Families will also be able to chat with CMSD partners offering services such as T-Mobile wireless hotspots, PCs for People, Apple creative products, and CISCO training academy.

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District partnered with several organizations to bring this event to life, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Browns, the city of Cleveland, College Now Greater Cleveland, the Cleveland Public Library and more.

The event will take place over two Saturdays in August, with the first event kicking off on Saturday at the East Professional Center on East 79th Street. The other will occur the following Saturday, Aug.20, at Max Hayes High School.
