Aviation Unions Call for Unified Action to Tackle Travel Crisis

Global aviation unions are calling for the formation of new unified bodies to tackle the challenges facing the travel sector as it struggles to bounce back from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The International Transport Workers’ Federation sees the groups bringing together governments, employers, unions and the public to create country-specific plans to address the causes of the crisis, according to a statement Friday. The first summer season at full capacity since the coronavirus hit in 2020 has seen chaos at airports, flight cancellations, delays and capacity reductions.
