The Political Affairs Committee of AAP met on Wednesday to discuss the developments post registration of FIR against deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in alleged procedural lapses in the implementation of Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
The CBI conducted raids at 31 locations across seven states including the office and residence of Sisodia and three former excise officials, who are currently facing suspension.
After the PAC meeting, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the BJP was “trying its best to topple the AAP government.”
“We want to tell the citizens of Delhi that your government is stable and no one will leave the AAP. We want to appeal to the PM to spend time solving people’s problems rather than trying to destabilise state governments,” Singh said.
Reading out the resolution passed in the PAC meeting, Singh said, “People are facing unemployment and inflation, but you (PM Narendra Modi) are busy toppling state governments chosen by the people. We also want to ask them where they are getting crores of rupees that are being used to buy MLAs.”
“This resolution was passed in today’s meeting. The CM has called a meeting of all MLAs tomorrow at 11 am,” Singh added.
