Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been hitting headlines even before it hit the screens and continues to be in the limelight. While the film has failed to pull massive crowds to theatres, a recent viral video suggested otherwise. A social media user posted a video of a huge crowd gathering at a shopping mall to buy tickets for Aamir’s film. In the clip, one can see people fighting for tickets in the jam-packed mall. Along with the video, the user wrote, “People throng to see the film Lal Singh Chaddha at Lulu Mall, Lucknow.”

However, according to a news portal, this video is not related to ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ nor the mall which is mentioned. Apparently, this footage was captured at a promotional event for a Malayalam film in Kerala. And internet seems to suggest the same, take a look at this video from the previous event.

Reportedly, an event for the Malayalam film ‘Thallumaala’ was cancelled as a huge crowd arrived to attend it at a mall in Kozhikode district. Soon, visuals of the crowded mall went viral on the internet. The incident also resulted in a major traffic jam outside the venue. The said event took place on August 10 while ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ released on August 11 in theatres. Seems like a video from another event was allegedly used to create a stir about Aamir’s film.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is directed by Advait Chandan and stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles alongside Aamir. This film is a remake of the Hollywood movie ‘Forrest Gump’.
