Sidhu Moose Wala murder case: Chargesheet filed against 24; total 36 people named | Amritsar News

MANSA: Three days ahead of three months into the cold-blooded murder of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu known as Sidhu Moose Nonethe Mansa police in Punjab on Friday filed the chargesheet in a court.
The police have named 36 people, but the chargesheet has been filed against 24 persons, out of which 20 have been arrested and four are put up in foreign countries.
Two accused of the case have already been killed in an encounter at village Bhakna Kalan in Amritsar district.
The 1,850-page chargesheet has been filed under charges of murder, attempt to murder, Arms Act and various other charges.
Gangster Lawrance Bishnoi, Canada-based gangster Satvinder Singh aka Goldy Brar, Sachin Thapan, Lipin Mehra and Anmol Bishnoi, who too are in foreign countries, have been named as main conspirators of the killing.
Apart from four in foreign countries, eight others are still out of police net while two, Pawan Nehra and Sukhjit Singh, have been found as innocent.
Sidhu Moose Wala was killed at Jawaharke village near Mansa on the evening of May 29 when he, along with two accomplices, was going to meet an ailing aunt in his Thar.
The six shooters in two vehicles, Bolero and Corolla, surrounded the Thar being driven by Moose Wala and fired indiscriminately.
The shooters after committing the crime escaped from the crime scene.
The conspirators were keeping a watch on the movements of Moose Wala and a recce was being conducted.
After the state government reduced the security of Moose Wala and made it public on May 28, the conspirators decided to strike the next day.
Those who were conducting recce met Moose Wala at his home posing as his fans and when Moose Wala left the house at around 4.30pm without security, those into did recce informed their accomplices about it and the shooters were put on duty.
The six shooters were part of two modules with Priyavrat Fauji, Kashish, Ankit Sersa and Deepak Mundi being in Bolero while Roopa and Mannu being in Corolla car.
Mansa senior superintendent of police Gaurav Toora on Friday evening said that a six-member Special Investigations Team (SIT), led by ADGP Parmod Ban, was constituted to carry out the investigations.
The SIT succeeded in arresting 20 people including main conspirator Lawrance Bishnoi who was brought from Delhi.
Those arrested include three shooters while two got killed in an encounter on July 20 while the one of the shooters Deepak Mundi is still to be arrested.
The SIT have recovered seven weapons used in crime including 2 pistols each of .32 bore, .30 bore, 9mm and one .315 bore.
The police also recovered four vehicles including Bolero, Corolla, Thar and one motorcycle.
The police also recovered seven mobile phones.
Those arrested include Lawrance Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Baldebv Singh of Takhanmal in Sirsa Haryana, Charanjit Singh of Bathinda, Sandeep Singh alias Kekda of Sirsa, Haryana; Manpreet Singh alias Manna of Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda; Manpreet Bhau of Dhaipai, Faridkot; Saraj Mintu of village Dode Kalsia, Amritsar; Prabhdeep Sidhu alias Pabbi of Takhat-Mall, Haryana; Monu Dagar of village Rewli in Sonipat, Haryana; Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb, both residents of Fatehabad, Haryana, Manmohan Singh of village Ralli in Mansa, Arshad Khan of Sardar Shehar, Rajasthan.
Shooters Priyavrat Fauji (26) of village Garhi Sisana in Sonepat, Kashish (24) of village Beri in district Jhajjar, Ankit Sersa (19) of village Sersa in Sonepat, Jagroop Singh Roopa of district Tarn Taran and Manpreet Mannu of village Kussa in district Moga were killed in police encounter at village Bhakna Kalan in Amritsar, while Deepak Mundi is still at large.
