Tata Motors launches JET edition of Nexon, Harrier, Safari: New price, features

Tata Motors says that this unique and luxurious line-up is inspired by ‘Business Jets’, which will appeal to a set of customers who love opulence and want to soar high in luxury. The JET Edition will be offered with top-of-the-line features along with an exclusive exterior and interior colour theme. The Jet editions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari will be available with a dual-tone combination of an earthy bronze body and a platinum silver roof and it also gets alloys painted with Jet black and silver skid plates at the front.
The interior offers dual-tone Oyster White & Granite black tones. The SUVs also feature techno-steel bronze finish mid-pad on the instrument panel along with the bronze accents on doors and floor consoles. All three SUVs get Jet embroidery on the front headrests and deco stitching on the seats in a bronze thread.
Tata Harrier Jet, Safari Jet and Nexon Jet will be the new top variants in the lineup. The Jet Edition will be available across all Tata Motors authorised dealerships, starting today.
Tata Harrier and Safari Jet edition: What’s new?
The Harrier and Safari will now be equipped with ESP safety functions such as Driver Doze off alert, Panic Brake alert, and After Impact Braking. These features will be over and above the existing 14 safety functions. Additionally, both SUVs will also get a Type-C USB charger in all rows.
The Harrier now will also feature electronic parking brakes in manual and automatic variants along with all 4 disc brakes.
Most importantly both SUVs will also include a Wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, Air purifier and a Wireless charger. The interior is now integrated with Tri-Arrow perforated Oyster White – Benecke-Kaliko leatherette seats, and various exquisite Bronze inserts.
Powering Harrier and Safari is the same Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre multi-jet turbocharged Diesel engine which produces 170 bhp of power at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual.
Tata Nexon Jet edition: What’s new?
In the case of Nexon, features that have been carried forward from the standard variant include ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof with tilt function, an air purifier with AQI display and a wireless charger.
The Tata Nexon will be available with two engine options, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which produces 120 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel motor which makes 110 bhp and 260 Nm. Transmission options for both include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Nexon has drive modes of Eco, City and Sport.
It was rumoured that Tata motors will launch the facelifted versions of the Harrier and Safari. The facelifted versions were expected to come with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, 360-degree camera and an updated infotainment system and the reports also suggested that the SUV might get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
