Warhawks Drop Exhibition to LA Tech

MONROE, La. – Louisiana Tech scored a goal in the final 10 minutes of each half and two Lady Techster keepers combined on a shutout as LA Tech topped ULM, 2-0, in an exhibition match Saturday night at Brown Stadium.

Riley Bonadie scored off an assist from Kalli Matlock in the 40th minute for LA Tech. The Lady Techsters doubled their lead in the 87th minute when Maci Geltmeier scored to ice the match.

Each team tallied 10 shots, with Tech putting eight on frame to five for ULM. Taylor Henry, Sarah Navarro, Santana Pressley, Janet Stopka and Ashley Washburn each had a shot on goal. Navarro and Washburn led ULM with two shots each.

Alexa Castro played all 90 minutes in goal for ULM, making six saves.


The Warhawks open the regular season on Aug. 21 at Texas A&M-Commerce.
