World’s Top Places Without Travel Entry Restrictions

COVID-19 pandemic-related travel restrictions and entry requirements for international travelers have eased considerably in most countries or have been eliminated altogether with proof of vaccination dropped. Current airport mayhem aside, here’s a selection of some of your best options for a hassle-free holiday from summer 2022 and beyond.
Europe
The UK lifted its remaining COVID-19 restrictions related to travel in March and London and other top tourist spots like Edinburgh, Cornwall and the Cotswolds appear to be back to pre-pandemic numbers. If travelling in the next month or so, consider one of the equally charming cities or towns that are less visited, like Warwick, the home of Warwick Castle, founded in 1068 by William the Conqueror.
There are currently no pandemic-related travel restrictions for Austria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Iceland and Turkey. It’s safe to add Santorini, Greece back on your bucket list. Stay at one of the classic white stone boutique hotels like Ikies near the charming village of Oia.
Italy eliminated entry requirements such as proof of vaccination on June 1 while France lifted its remaining COVID-19 travel restrictions on August 1, meaning travelers no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative test result to visit. Book that long-awaited trip to Venice, Florence and Rome. Start your Italian trip at Venice’s new hotel the St Regis on the Grand Canal for an opulent treat. Jamaica ended its pre-travel testing requirements in April while the British Virgin Islands and the US Virgin Islands both eliminated COVID-related entry requirements by July. North America
Visitors to Mexico don’t face any COVID-related travel restrictions. Check out Mexico City’s incredible art scene during ZonaMaco, Latin America’s biggest art fair held annually in February. Or head to the beach in Tulum, Zihuatanejo or Puerto Vallarta.
Africa
Egypt and South Africa both dropped COVID-19 travel restrictions in June. Now could be the time to visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, the oldest and last remaining of the original seven world wonders. As of August 1, all travelers can enter Malaysia regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status and do not require a pre-departure or on-arrival test. The jungles of Borneo have some of the world’s most wildlife-rich rainforests and stunning landscapes.
Vietnam dropped COVID-related testing requirements for all international arrivals in May. Essential for any visit is Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital with its fascinating Old and French Quarters.
