NEW YORK, NY — Whether staying close to home or hopping around the five boroughs — rerouted subways, street closures and train delays are ready to disrupt New Yorkers weekend travel plans.

We’ve put together everything you need to know to get to your weekend excursions around the city (relatively) unscathed.

Weekend Subway Changes

Here’s the basic rundown of what to expect, but for details on changes to your subway line, check out MTA’s service tracker.

  • 1: Some escalators and an elevator at the South Ferry station will be out of service this weekend.
  • 2: Local to express, reduced service – trains running every 12 minutes
  • 3: Local to express
  • 4: Local to express
  • 5: Part suspended
  • 6: No planned service changes
  • 7: Boarding change
  • A: Part suspended, local to express, trains rerouted – no Queens-bound A at Spring St., Canal St., Chambers St., Fulton St., and High St.
  • C: No overnight service, local to express, trains rerouted – No Euclid Ave – bound train at Spring St., Canal St., Chambers St., Fulton St., and High St.
  • E: Local to express
  • B: No weekend service
  • D: Express to local
  • F: Trains rerouted – no Coney Island-bound F at 21 St-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Ave./63 St and 57 St, Stations skipped.
  • M: No service changes
  • G: Part suspended, no train between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Ave.
  • J: Part suspended – no train at Sutphin Blvd-Archer Ave-JFK Airport and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer
  • Z: No weekend service
  • L: No service changes
  • N: Trains rerouted – Astoria-bound trains will run via the R from Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center To Canal St., Local to express
  • Q: Trains rerouted (check MTA link above for full list)
  • R: Local to express
  • W: No weekend service
  • SIR: Boarding change, special schedule – line will run every 45 minutes between St. George and Tottenville.
