Commercial LPG Prices Increased From June 1
Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased across India from June 1, 2026. Oil marketing companies revised the rates of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders, which are widely used by restaurants, hotels, caterers, and other businesses.
In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased by ₹42. The new retail price is ₹3,113.50 per cylinder. Similar price revisions have also been reported in other major cities.
The revised rates came into effect on June 1 and apply to commercial users rather than household consumers.
Domestic LPG Prices Remain Unchanged
While commercial LPG prices have increased, domestic cooking gas cylinder prices have not changed.
The price of the standard 14.2-kg household LPG cylinder remains unchanged in major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. This means households will continue to pay the same rate for cooking gas as before.
The latest revision therefore affects commercial establishments and not residential consumers directly.
Impact on Restaurants and Businesses
Commercial LPG cylinders are commonly used by food businesses and service establishments. Restaurants, hotels, cafes, catering services, and roadside eateries depend on these cylinders for daily cooking operations.

Delhi and Kolkata See Notable Increases
Among major cities, Delhi recorded a ₹42 increase in the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder.
Meanwhile, reports show that Kolkata saw a larger increase of ₹53.50 per cylinder. Following the revision, the commercial LPG cylinder price in Kolkata reached ₹3,255.50.
The revised prices became effective from June 1 across the country.
Second Consecutive Increase in Recent Weeks
The June revision comes after a major increase in commercial LPG prices announced on May 1, 2026.
Last month, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi rose sharply to ₹3,071.50. The latest ₹42 increase has now pushed the price to ₹3,113.50.
This means commercial LPG users have faced consecutive price increases over the past two months.

Political Reactions Emerge
The latest price hike has also triggered political reactions. The Indian National Congress criticized the increase and accused the government of adding to inflation-related concerns.
The party raised questions about the impact of rising commercial fuel costs on businesses and consumers.Government officials, however, have stated that fuel supplies remain adequate and that there is no shortage of LPG in the country.
What Consumers Should Know
For ordinary households, there is no immediate change in cooking gas prices. Domestic LPG rates remain unchanged despite the latest commercial revision.
However, businesses that use commercial cylinders will have to pay the new rates from June 1. Restaurants, hotels, and food service operators are among the sectors most directly affected by the increase.
