The first day of Disney’s D23 was nothing short of a treat for fans who made their way to Anaheim Convention Center. Here are some of the much-anticipated films announced at the fan fest.

Snow White
The clip showed exclusively to the D23 audience showed Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) in the role of the Disney Princess. Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) said playing the evil queen was very different from what she has done before. The film directed by Mark Webb will be out in 2024
Inside Out 2
Inside Out (2015) was Pixar’s successful film that got the animation studio various awards and critical appreciation and now fans who attended D23 got a glimpse of Inside Out 2. The highlight is that Amy Poehler returns as Joy one of the popular and much-loved emotions. The first one had five emotions – Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust and this time there will be some-more emotions that will be added to the story. Kelsey Mann will be directing this film which will be out in the summer of 2024
Mufasa: The Lion King
A prequel to the popular 2019 animation film Lion King was announced and the title is Mufasa: The Lion King. This film will tell the origin story of the father. Filmmaker Barry Jenkins showed exclusive preview footage was screened at D23 Expo where Rafiki was seen telling the story of Mufasa to some cubs. Mufasa: The Lion King follows Jon Favreau’s popular 2019 remake film.
The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid (1989) won an Oscar for the best original song for Alan Menken who returns with a new song. The song from the upcoming film ‘Part of your world’ got a huge round of applause from D23 fans. R&B singer and actor Halle Bailey will play the role of mermaid princess Ariel. The Little Mermaid will release in cinemas on May 26, 2023
Elemental
One trailer that won everyone’s hearts was Pixar’s Elemental. The story is set in Elemental City where air, earth, fire, and water co-exist. As the makers said, “Some elements mix with each other, and some don’t and what happens if these elements were alive?” A fiery girl and a chilled-out watery guy will take you on a beautiful journey as they explore what they have in common. The film is inspired by director Peter Sohn’s childhood in New York City. Elemental will release on June 16, 2023.
