CJP Protest Continues at Jantar Mantar as Supporters Demand Accountability
New Delhi: The protest led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) continued at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, with activists and supporters reiterating their demand for accountability in the alleged examination paper leak controversy and seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The movement has gained significant attention across the country, especially among students and young professionals who believe that recurring examination irregularities have affected the future of millions of aspirants. Demonstrators gathered at Jantar Mantar carrying placards and raising slogans, demanding transparency and reforms in the education system.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke remained at the protest site and addressed supporters, stating that the campaign would continue peacefully until their concerns are heard. Protesters also expressed solidarity with noted education reformer and activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a prolonged hunger strike in support of the movement’s demands.
The ongoing agitation follows recent clashes between protesters and police during a march towards Parliament. Several participants alleged excessive use of force during the confrontation, while authorities have maintained that actions were taken to ensure law and order. Despite the tensions, demonstrators have returned to Jantar Mantar and resumed their peaceful sit-in.
The protest has attracted support from various social groups, students, educators, and public figures. Organizers say the movement is not limited to one issue but represents a broader call for fairness, accountability, and trust in public institutions.
As discussions between representatives of the movement and government officials have yet to produce a breakthrough, protesters have vowed to continue their campaign in the coming days while urging authorities to engage in meaningful dialogue. The developments are being closely watched as the agitation continues to draw national attention.
